A little about me
Over the last 13 years I’ve designed and delivered a wide range of mobile and web apps for large organisations across Health, Fintech, Automotive, Retail and Construction sectors. I’m an empathetic and passionate person and enjoy designing products that help people solve real problems.
I’m fast to adapt to new domains, people and technology, and have a flexible skill-set which has helped me work professionally in permanent and contractor roles in both consulting and product companies. For several I worked in generalist roles where I contributed to both design and engineering. Since 2019 I’ve narrowed my focus on product design and am an expert practitioner of the full design lifecycle from product discovery through to implementation.
I’m a design technologist at heart and can effectively navigate the divide of design & engineering. My experience and knowledge in development helps me design with an understanding of how the system could be built and allows me to engage effectively with engineering teams, ensuring high-quality execution.
Personal life
On a personal, I live with my wife Jess and silly dog Charlie in beautiful Newcastle, Australia. I love live music, rock climbing, hanging by the beach, and making and eating delicious food. 🤤
I’m a social person and am blessed with wonderful family and friends. I enjoy learning and am constantly asking questions, finding myself in many conversations about how the world works. I enjoy reading and listening to podcasts about behavioural economics, tech, health, climate, comedy and music.
